The obverse of the coin features Vytis, surrounded by the inscription LIETUVA (LITHUANIA), denomination (100 litas), year of issue (2000), and the mintmark of the Lithuanian Mint.

Reverse

The reverse of the coin features a portrait of Vytautas, Grand Duke of Lithuania. The portrait is based on a medal by the sculptor Vytautas Kašuba and is surrounded by the inscriptions VYTAUTAS DIDYSIS • 1392–1430 (VYTAUTAS THE GREAT • 1392–1430), LIETUVA (LITHUANIA) and M•DUX• LITUANIAE.
