The mission of the Bank of Lithuania, the central bank of the Republic of Lithuania, is to bring benefits to society while seeking to foster a reliable financial system and ensure sustainable economic growth. The monetary policy decisions of the euro area, which we adopt and implement as part of the Eurosystem together with the European Central Bank (ECB) and the other 19 countries that have adopted the euro, are immensely important. The main goal of the ECB is to maintain price stability in the euro area over the medium term. 

The purpose that unites us, the employees of the Bank of Lithuania, the vision of our organisation and giving it meaning through our daily operations, our work, anchored by the core values of our institution, and transparency not only benefit society but also contribute to enhancing the trust of the Lithuanian people in the central bank and the entire financial system.
