Julita Varanauskienė joined Lietuvos bankas with extensive experience in the public and private sectors. From 2017 she worked at the State Social Insurance Fund Board under the Ministry of Social Security and Labour and headed the institution from May 2019. Prior to that, she worked at one of Lithuania’s major commercial banks where she held various positions in financial services and customer service, household finances and life insurance activities. Julita Varanauskienė has professional experience in the field of education and science as she has taught at ISM University of Management and Economics. She holds a PhD from ISM University of Management and Economics.
