Julita Varanauskienė

Deputy Chair of the Board of the Bank of Lithuania

Julita Varanauskienė joined the Bank of Lithuania having gained considerable experience in the public and private sectors. From 2017, she worked at the State Social Insurance Fund Board under the Ministry of Social Security and Labour and headed the institution from 2019. Prior to that, she worked at one of Lithuania’s major commercial banks, where she held various positions in financial services and customer service, household finances and life insurance units. Julita Varanauskienė has experience in the field of education and science, she has taught at ISM University of Management and Economics as well as participated in the work of the international expert group on the assessment of higher education curricula. She has obtained a master’s degree in Management and Administration from Kaunas University of Technology and a PhD from ISM University of Management and Economics.
