Involved in a dispute with a financial services provider established outside Lithuania? A consumer seeking to apply for the settlement of a dispute with a financial services provider established in another country of the European Economic Area can use the FIN-NET network. The Financial Dispute Resolution Network (FIN-NET) is a network of national organisations responsible for the out-of-court settlement of consumer complaints regarding financial services. The network covers the countries of the European Economic Area, i.e. the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway. |
Disputes with a financial market participant in another EEA country
The FIN-NET was set up by the European Commission in 2001 to promote cooperation between national ombudsmen in the field of financial services and to provide consumers with easy access to alternative dispute resolution (ADR) procedures for multi-party disputes concerning the provision of financial services.
Please note that:
- On the FIN-NET website, you can find a list of FIN-NET members, which shows the authorities competent to deal with disputes arising from financial services by country. You can also find the Application Form on the website.
- Submit the form via email or post to any FIN-NET member in your country or the country of your service provider.
- The FIN-NET member will let you know if they can solve your problem or refer you to another organisation that can help you.
More information is available on the FIN-NET website.
