Bank of Lithuania

The development of the Lithuanian capital market is one of the Bank of Lithuania’s strategic directions for the period 2022-2025. We have set specific objectives and actions that would more effectively employ the capital market, a reserve that has not yet been tapped.

A well-developed capital market ensures sustainable economic growth and supports financial stability. It provides companies with more opportunities to raise capital and secure long-term financing. And it gives people the opportunity to put their own money to work, contributing to the country’s economic growth.

A strong, developed Lithuanian capital market would make Lithuania more attractive to foreign investment and strengthen Lithuania’s profile in the EU and globally.
