Winner of the Award for Dissertation in the Field of Economics Jonas Striaukas will give a public lecture
The winner of this year’s Bank of Lithuania Award for Dissertation in the Field of Economics Dr Jonas Striaukas (Copenhagen Business School) will deliver a public lecture at the Bank of Lithuania on 15 May 2023, at 13:00.
During the lecture Dr Striaukas will present his dissertation “Estimation and Inference for High Dimensional Mixed Frequency Data Models” and cover machine learning applications for time series data and their relevance for policy institutions.
The lecture is open to anyone who is interested in the topic. However, due to limited seating, registration is required. Register here until 10 May.

Every year in August and September the Bank of Lithuania invites economic researchers and those with a PhD in economics and finance to apply for the Bank of Lithuania Award for Dissertation in the Field of Economics. The papers submitted are assessed by a commission comprising researchers from the Bank of Lithuania’s Center for Excellence in Finance and Economic Research (CEFER) and representatives of Lithuanian and foreign universities.
