According to Bank of Lithuania and Statistics Lithuania, in the third quarter 2011, foreigners invested in Lithuania less, while Lithuanian investment abroad slightly increased.

Based on preliminary estimate, the foreign direct investment (FDI) flow in Lithuania was LTL 855.1 million (3.1% of GDP) in Q3 2011. In Q3 2011, FDI inflows to Lithuania decreased quarter on quarter by LTL 442.8 million or 34.1% and by LTL 670.3 million on a year-on-year basis driven mainly by sinking flow of other capital.
