According to preliminary data, foreign direct investment flow (FDI) in Lithuania in Q3 2010 amounted to LTL 1.5 billion. Compared to Q2 2010, the FDI flow in Lithuania increased by LTL 1.9 billion. The FDI flow in Lithuania during three quarters of 2010, as the same period in 2009, amounted to approximately LTL 1 billion. From the beginning of the year, cumulative FDI in Lithuania increased by LTL 494.4 million, and as of 30 September 2010 they amounted to LTL 34.2 billion.

In Q3 2010, the flow of Lithuanian direct investment abroad was on the decrease and amounted to minus LTL 60.8 million. The FDI flow abroad was also on the decrease over three quarters of 2010 and amounted to minus LTL 67.3 million. From the beginning of the year Lithuanian cumulative direct investment abroad dropped by LTL 740 million and at the end of Q3 2010 they amounted to LTL 4.8 billion.
