The country’s current account balance (CAB) was again in deficit (of LTL -215.3 million) in July 2011 owing to an increase in foreign trade and income balance deficits and shrinking surplus on the service balance. Meanwhile, the negative (LTL -217.5 million) financial account balance of the balance of payments for July this year was the result of an outflow of foreign direct investments and portfolio investments from Lithuania.
The above data was released by the Statistics Department of the Bank of Lithuania.
