Widening surpluses on the balances of services and secondary income in Q2 2014 offset the narrowing but still negative foreign trade and primary income balances, leading to a surplus on the current account balance of LTL 1.1 billion. The current account surplus for H1 amounted to
LTL 906.9 million. The balance of payments financial account in Q2 posted a positive balance (almost LTL 2 billion), which was due to falling net other investment foreign liabilities.
