(survey of key indicators)

In August 2014 the build-up of the current account balance in surplus (LTL 552.9 million, or EUR 160.1 million) was driven by a strong decline in the trade balance deficit, as well as the remaining surplus in the balances of services, secondary income and capital account. The positive financial account balance (LTL 328.8 million, or EUR 95.2 million) was due to the positive flow of net portfolio, official reserve assets and net other investment.

These new data were released today by the Statistics Department of the Economics and Financial Stability Service at the Bank of Lithuania.
