A financial brokerage firm is a market participant licensed by the Bank of Lithuania, whose permanent activity is a professional provision of one or more investment services and/or carrying out investment activities. Investment services and investment activities are services and activities related to one or several financial instruments: acceptance and transfer of orders, execution of orders using customer’s account, entering into transactions using own account, management of the financial instruments portfolio, giving investment recommendations, signing and/or distribution of financial instruments with an obligation to distribute them, distribution of financial instruments without obligation to distribute them, and administration of a multilateral trading system.
