Vytautas Valaitis holds a PhD from Duke University and is currently a senior lecturer at the University of Surrey. He previously worked as a Max Webber fellow at the European University Institute. He is a macroeconomist with a focus on optimal fiscal policy and understanding how household consumption choices shape macroeconomic dynamics and inform economic policies. His research has been published in the Review of Economic Studies and Quantitative Economics.
