In June 2006, the external assets of the Bank of Lithuania decreased by LTL 29.1 million to form LTL11.5 billion at the end of the month. External assets slipped due to transactions by LTL 3.7 million.
In June, currency in circulation went up by LTL 219.2 million to make up LTL 6.9 billion at the end of the month. A decrease in deposits of residents with the Bank of Lithuania due to transactions made up LTL 46.9 million to form LTL 3.7 billion. Of them, the deposits of other MFIs due to transactions grew by LTL 0.3 million to form LTL 2.2 billion. The deposits of the central government decreased by LTL 47.9 million to LTL 1.5 billion at the end of the month.
Capital and reserves due to transactions hiked LTL 15.1 million to 915.5 LTL million at the end of the month.
In June, external liabilities went down by LTL 192.9 million litas to LTL 156.6 million. The deposits of non-resident MFIs (non-banks) with the Bank of Lithuania decreased throughout the month by 137.0 million, whereas the deposits of non-MFIs (non-banks) slipped by LTL 55.8 million.
