Application (when submitting by post or courier) 

The application must contain your (as the data subject’s) first name, family name, personal number, contact details, which right you wish to be implemented, the scope of implementation of this right, information related to the requested right to be implemented and the method by which you wish to receive a reply. The application must be drawn up in the official language, be legible and signed.

The detailed procedures for the consideration of applications drawn up in a foreign language are established in paragraph 49 of the Rules on Consideration of Applications and Claims and Personal Service at the Bank of Lithuania.

Your application for the implementation of your rights related to your personal data processed at the Bank of Lithuania can be:

  • sent by post to Totorių g. 4, LT-01121 Vilnius;
  • put into boxes for correspondence of the Bank of Lithuania at Totorių g. 4 or Žirmūnų g. 151, Vilnius, on business days between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.

When sending your application by post or courier, you must also attach a notarised copy of your personal identity document (passport or ID card) or its copy equivalent to the notary’s certification.

When filing your application directly to an employee of the Bank of Lithuania, you must submit your personal identity document (passport or ID card).

The Bank of Lithuania shall consider your application and shall reply within one month upon receipt of the application. Considering the complexity of the application and the number of applications being considered, the term for the consideration of your application and the term for replying may be extended for additional two months.

When you wish to implement your right to the rectification, erasure, and restriction of data or your right to object to the processing of data, the Bank of Lithuania shall verify whether the application is reasonable and shall notify you of the execution of your application or failure to execute it within one month of the receipt of the application.

You shall have the right to lodge a complaint regarding the actions (inactivity) of the Bank of Lithuania while processing your data to the data protection supervisory authority: State Data Protection Inspectorate, A. Juozapavičiaus g. 6, LT-09310 Vilnius, or by email: tl.ada@ada.


Application (delivery by email)

The application for the implementation of the data subject’s rights must contain your (as the data subject’s) first name, family name, personal number, the right you are requesting to be implemented, the scope of the implementation of this right, information related to the right you request to be implemented and the desirable method to get a reply.

Applications delivered by email must be signed with an electronic signature in order to be able to identify the electronic signature and the person who filed the application.

The application for the implementation of the rights related to your personal data processed at the Bank of Lithuania must be sent by email: tl.bl@ofni.

The Bank of Lithuania shall consider your application and shall submit a reply within one month of the receipt of the application.
