Today, 9 May, the updated www.euro.lt website was launched. This website provides information about Lithuania’s membership in the European Union and the adoption of the Euro in Lithuania. The new version of the website welcomes its visitors completely renewed in its content, structure and design.
The new version’s content is comprised of two thematic blocks - “Lithuania in the European Union” and “The Introduction of the Euro in Lithuania”. The website, administered by the Office of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania and the Bank of Lithuania is both in Lithuanian and in English.
The website is updated daily with the latest news. One can find information on various aspects of Lithuania’s membership in the European Union, about the European Union itself, about the euro zone and Lithuania’s membership. There is also a Euro calculator integrated in internet website whereby one can easily convert amounts in litas to euros and vice versa.
Visitors to www.euro.lt are invited to participate in a quiz to check their knowledge of the European Union and its common currency and win the prizes.
www.euro.lt was established in 1998, and continues to inform visitors about Lithuania’s integration into the EU.
