The Board of the Bank of Lithuania decided to issue a licence of a payment institution to AB Mažeikių butų ūkis, which grants the right to provide the payment service established in Paragraph 6 of Article 5 of the Republic of Lithuania Law on Payments (money transfers).
According to the information provided to the Bank of Lithuania, Mažeikių butų ūkis is engaged in the collection of utility and other payments, collection and transfer of fees and payments for heating, water, etc. to the service providers. Moreover, the company provides an additional service of data accumulation and management closely related to the payment service (money transfers), carries out other activities that are not provision of payment services. These include: technical maintenance of blocks of flats and of other buildings, management of the economy of different purpose buildings, renovation and maintenance of the heating economy, installation and maintenance of electrical systems, buildings repair, construction works, etc.
