Vitas Vasiliauskas, Chairman of the Board of the Bank of Lithuania, will meet with representatives of the US Federal Reserve System, the US Department of the Treasury, and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington on 57 June, to discuss the topical issues in the economic and financial as well as monetary policy of the USA and the European Union, supervision of financial market participants, fight with of money laundering and terrorist financing.    

During his visit, Mr Vasiliauskas will participate in the planned meetings with Randal K. Quarles, a member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and Vice Chairman for Supervision, David Malpass, Under Secretary for International Affairs at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, and David Lipton, the IMF’s First Deputy Managing Director.
