The heads of the central banks of the EU countries and the Vice-President of the ECB will visit the Bank of Lithuania
Today the Chairman of the Board of the Bank of Lithuania, Vitas Vasiliauskas, will host twenty-seven EU country central bank governors and the Vice-President of the European Central Bank, Vitor Constancio. They will all participate in the European Union’s (EU) Economic and Financial Affairs Council’s (ECOFIN) informal meeting, organised for the first time in Vilnius.
A working lunch has been prepared for the guests at the Bank of Lithuania.
At the informal ECOFIN meetings Ministers of Finance from all of the EU countries, governors of the central banks and representatives of the most important EU institutions meet semi-annually in the country holding EU presidency.
