The €2 commemorative coin dedicated to Dzūkija will be issued on 9 September 2021
The Board of the Bank of Lithuania decided to issue into circulation the €2 commemorative coin dedicated to Dzūkija (from the series “Lithuanian Ethnographic Regions”) on 9 September 2021.
The pre-sale of the coin will start on 2 September at the e-shop www.coins.lb.lt.
The graphic design of the national side (obverse) of the coin was created by Rolandas Rimkūnas. The mintage of the coin is 0.5 million pcs, of which, 5 thousand coins are BU quality in a numismatic package.
This is the third coin from the series “Lithuanian Ethnographic Regions”. The coin dedicated to Samogitia was issued in 2019, while the coin dedicated to Aukštaitija – in 2020.
