The recent survey shows that users trust the data published by Lietuvos bankas, easily find the information they need and use it for professional and personal needs, decision-making, analysis and research.

“The survey confirms that users use the data we publish for practical purposes, to obtain information about Lithuania’s economy and its processes, to make decisions, or to meet their professional needs. Their experience, including what kind of data they are looking for, what they use the data for, how easy it is to find and understand the data, is of key importance to us, as it allows us to see what needs to be improved in order to make the data published even more user-friendly,” says Ramūnas Baravykas, Director of the Data and Statistics Department of Lietuvos bankas.

The users of Lietuvos bankas’ website are most frequently looking for official statistics on the monetary and financial sector and macroeconomic indicators (62%), performance indicators of financial market participants (34%), and economic analysis and projections (33%). The main purposes of their visit to the website are to search for and view the latest published data (71%), download data (32%) or find out what data are available (24%).

The main data users are private users (48%), representatives of businesses (24%) and finance companies (24%). The data are used mainly for personal needs (48%), decision-making (39%), and analysis and research (38%). Most users find and understand data very easily or easily (55% and 63%, respectively).

The survey shows that nearly 90% of respondents completely trust or trust the data published by Lietuvos bankas. The majority of respondents (nearly 70%) also rated data presentation as good or very good.

149 respondents took part in the survey. The majority of the respondents (87%) were Lithuanian users, though the results show that the data published by Lietuvos bankas are also relevant to foreign users from Austria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Germany, Latvia, Morocco, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Poland, Sweden, Ukraine and the United Kingdom.

Users with higher education dominate the survey, accounting for nearly 70% of the respondents. Half of all respondents come from two age groups (35-44 and 45-54). However, the survey showed a significant rise in the number of users aged 65 and over and under 25, compared to the previous survey.

Surveys on the use of Lietuvos bankas’ statistical data are conducted on a biennial basis. It aims to identify data user needs, experience, goals, data use skills, and satisfaction, as well as to take into account their recommendations and feedback.
