Today the Bank of Lithuania begins to publish on its website aggregated statistical data on the balance sheet of investment funds of Lithuania, which is compiled from the data of statistical reports, collected in accordance with the Bank of Lithuania Resolution No 03-185 Of 17 October 2014 on Statistical Reporting of Collective Investment Undertakings, supplemented with the data of the Centralised Securities Database. Publishable data complies with the Regulation (EU) No 1073/2013 of 18 October 2013 of the European Central Bank concerning statistics on the assets and liabilities of investment funds (recast) (ECB/2013/38) and the Guidelines of 4 April 2014 of the European Central Bank on Monetary and Financial Statistics (recast) (ECB/2014/15). This provides the opportunity to compile and publish statistics on the balance sheet of investment funds of Lithuania, which are comparable at the European Union level.
Statistics on the balance sheet of investment funds, which is available online, are comprised of six tables that present information on the assets and liabilities of Lithuania’s investment funds, data on investment funds holdings of debt securities, equity and investment funds units/shares broken down by residency and sector of issuer as well as data on investment funds units/shares issued broken down by investment policy. Data on outstanding amounts at the end of period and transactions during the period are provided. First data are for December 2008.
Statistical data on the balance sheet of investment funds are being published on the monthly basis in accordance with the Advance Release Calendar.
