At the end of June 2007, official reserve assets made up LTL 15.7 billion (amount equal to EUR 4.6 billion or USD 6.1 billion). In the course of one month, they climbed LTL 1 billion, i.e. by 6.9 per cent.
Official reserve assets grew as a result of an increase of external liabilities of the Bank of Lithuania and currency in circulation by LTL 748.6 million and LTL 241.8 million, respectively, and an increase of deposits of other MFIs and central government with the Bank of Lithuania, respectively by LTL 109.8 million and LTL 109.2 million.
At the same time, official reserve assets were pushed downward by LTL 188.3 million due to a decreased impact of other factors.
