In April 2013 the monetary financial institution's (MFI) net external assets went down by LTL 245.4 million and amounted to LTL 7.3 billion. Domestic credit, with the decrease of credit to the general government and other residents, decreased by LTL 193.5 million over the month. In April M3 broad monetary aggregate decreased by LTL 47.6 million, and their annual growth rate at the end of the month decreased from 8.4 per cent to 7.3 per cent. The decrease of the M3 broad monetary aggregate was largely influenced by the reduced deposits with an agreed maturity of up to two years (LTL 331.1 million); however this decrease was most offset by overnight deposits (LTL 328.3 million). The share of other MFIs’ lending to households in euro was declining steadily — from 73.2 per cent (at the end of December 2011) to 70.6 per cent (at the end of April 2013), with the respective increase of the share of loans in litas.
