1. The Board of the Bank of Lithuania adopted a protocol decision, which lists securities eligible for concluding repurchase agreements. The list, which earlier included only securities of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, now also includes securities of two commercial banks. The list of these securities will be published on the website of the Bank of Lithuania and updated regularly.
2. The Board of the Bank of Lithuania instructed the Financial Stability Division of the Economics Department of the Bank of Lithuania to organise bank lending surveys. They will be organised twice a year: in April and in October.
The Board decided that all domestic commercial banks and foreign bank branches may participate in the lending surveys.
The summary results and the report of the bank lending survey will be published on the website of the Bank of Lithuania.
Bank lending surveys are conducted in many developed states, including all euro area states, Poland and Hungary. The European Central Bank (ECB) organises such surveys to enhance the information of the Eurosystem on the financing conditions in the euro area and to assist the Governing Council of the ECB in assessing monetary and economic developments during the monetary policy decision-making process.
3. The Board of the Bank of Lithuania decided to reorganise the state enterprise "Lietuvos monetu kalykla" (Lithuanian Mint) into a closed joint-stock company that will be named UAB "Lietuvos monetu kalykla" (Lithuanian Mint). The State will hold 100 per cent of the company's shares. The State will exercise its rights and obligations as the shareholder of the company through the Bank of Lithuania. The enterprise is reorganised in accordance with the provisions of the State and Municipal Enterprise Law of the Republic of Lithuania, the Civil Code of the Republic of Lithuania and the Republic of Lithuania Law on Companies.
