1. The Board of the Bank of Lithuania gave permission to AB bankas Hansabankas to register an amendment to its Articles of Association related to the increase of the Bank’s share capital to LTL 845,936,000, which was approved by the decision of its sole shareholder AS Hansapank, a bank registered in the Republic of Estonia, on 20 May 2008.
At present, the registered share capital of the bank amounts to LTL 569,712,000.
According to AB bankas Hansabankas, the increase of the share capital will ensure compliance with the prudential requirements established by the Bank of Lithuania and have a positive impact on the bank's activity.
2. Declaring legal tender and issue into circulation of the 50 litas commemorative coin issued for participation in the silver coin programme “Europe. European Cultural Heritage”
The Board of the Bank of Lithuania approved the 50 litas commemorative coin issued for participation in the silver coin programme “Europe. European Cultural Heritage” as legal tender. It made a decision to issue the coin on 30 June 2008.
The coins were minted by UAB “Lietuvos monetu kalykla” (Lithuanian Mint) according to the graphic designs of the obverse and the reverse of the coin created by the artist Rytis Jonas Belevicius.
