After being presented with the information on appointing Dainora Beniusienė the manager of Palanga affiliate of AB Siauliu bankas, the Board of the Bank of Lithuania said it did not object to it.
2. On declaring the 50 litas commemorative coin dedicated to Lithuania’s wild nature a legal tender, and putting it into circulation
The Board of the Bank of Lithuania decided to declare the 50 litas commemorative coin dedicated to Lithuania’s wild nature a legal tender and issue it into circulation on 16 December 2008. The coin depicts a humble-bee.
The graphic design of this coin was created by Vladas Orzekauskas, and the plaster model was made by Alfonsas Vaura. Ten thousands of the coin were minted at UAB ,,Lietuvos monetu kalykla“ (the Lithuanian Mint).
