1. The Board of the Bank of Lithuania gave the permission to AB bankas Hansabankas to register the amendments - approved on 2 February 2009 by the single shareholder of the Bank - to its Statutes related to the change of the Bank's name, mandate of the Supervisory Council and the Board, and rights arising from the shares held.
The Board took a decision to change the licence previously issued to AB bankas Hansabankas to the bank licence with the indicated new name of the Bank - Swedbank, AB. It was laid down that this item of the decision would become effective as of the day of registration of the amendments to the Statutes of AB bankasHansabankas with the Register of Legal Entities.
2. On the amendment to the Resolution of the Board of the Bank of Lithuania No. 62 of 27 April 2000 on the providing the museums of the Republic of Lithuania with litas banknotes and coins and litas cents
The Board took a decision to provide also the new national museum the Palace of the Rulers of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania with litas banknotes and coins and litas cents - declared a legal tender - (two peaces of each) free of charge. Such a decision was taken after considering the request of this museum, which opened at the beginning of 2009.
According to the Board of the Bank of Lithuania Resolution No. 62 of 27 April 2000 on the providing the museums of the Republic of Lithuania with litas banknotes and coins and litas cents, only Museum of the Bank of Lithuania, Lithuanian National Museum, Lithuanian Art Museum, M. K. Ciurlionis National Art Museum, and Vytautas the Great Museum of War are provided with litas banknotes and coins and litas cents issued in circulation.
Today, the Board increased the number of banknotes, specimen banknotes, collector (commemorative) and circulation coins and their sets for the Museum of the Bank of Lithuania seeking to ensure that they are sufficiently available to arrange temporal exhibitions outside the Bank of Lithuania also for the media and publishing purposes (photographing, filming, etc.).
