Loans granted by Lithuania’s credit institutions to Lithuanian residents increased
Balance Sheet of Monetary Financial Institutions, August 2017
Today the Bank of Lithuania published the MFI balance sheet data for August 2017, which shows that loans granted by credit institutions to Lithuanian residents increased by EUR 205.4 million over the month. Loans to Lithuania’s non-financial corporations, households and the financial sector grew by EUR 126.5 million, EUR 74.0 million and EUR 5.6 million respectively, while loans to general government reduced by EUR 0.7 million. Deposits of Lithuanian residents with credit institutions rose by EUR 90.5 million over the month. Deposits of non-financial corporations and households, as well as financial and general government sector deposits boosted by EUR 44.3 million, EUR 28.8 million and EUR 17.4 million respectively.
