Life insurance companies interested in the preparation for euro adoption in Lithuania
The Lithuanian Life Insurance Association held a meeting with Darius Petrauskas, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Bank of Lithuania, on 7 April in Vilnius to hear the latest news about the preparation to adopt the euro in the country.
Mr Petrauskas presented the Law on the Adoption of the Euro in the Republic of Lithuania drafted by the Bank of Lithuania experts that has been forwarded to concerned ministries, other state institutions and business organisations for co-ordination. The Bank of Lithuania representative also reviewed Lithuania's compliance with convergence criteria and informed about the Bank's organisation and technical preparation for the cash changeover.
