The balance of payments data for Q4 2018 released by the Bank of Lithuania show that the surplus on the current account balance increased nearly 1.5 times over the year, to amount to €748.4 million, or 6.2% of GDP. At the end of the quarter, Lithuania’s gross external debt stood at €35.4 billion, or 78.4% of GDP, its net debt – €6.7 billion, or 14.8% of GDP.
