Jörg Asmussen, member of the Executive Board of the ECB, will visit the Bank of Lithuania
On Wednesday, 17 July, one of the highest ranking leaders — member of the Executive Board of the ECB, Jörg Asmussen, will visit the Bank of Lithuania. He will meet Vitas Vasiliauskas, the Chairman of the Board of the Bank of Lithuania, and members of the Board. During the meeting, it is scheduled to discuss the economic situation in the euro area — one of Lithuania’s largest export markets — and the country’s aspiration and readiness to introduce the euro in 2015.
On 18 July Jörg Asmussen will attend a round table discussion “European Economic Integration: Stock Taking of Challenges and Possibilities” organised at Vilnius University by the Bank of Lithuania jointly with its partners.
