At the end of June 2006, international reserves made up LTL 11,555.1 million (EUR 3,346.6 million, USD 4,197.4 million). In the course of one month they decreased by LTL 37.5 million, i.e. 0.3 per cent.
The decrease of international reserves was affected by lower Bank of Lithuania external liabilities and central government deposits with the Bank of Lithuania of LTL 192.9 million and LTL 47.6 million, respectively, in addition to other factors which went down by LTL 16.4 million. The international reserves were pushed up by increased currency in circulation and other monetary financial institution deposits with the Bank of Lithuania of LTL 219.2 million and LTL 0.3 million, respectively.
