In November 2006, central government deposits with the Bank of Lithuania increased by LTL 1.5 billion after the placement of the new euro bond issue by the government
As a result of transactions, external assets of the Bank of Lithuania went up by LTL 1.7 billion throughout November 2006 to form LTL 13.9 billion at the end of the month.
In November, currency in circulation rose by LTL 19.2 million to LTL 7.5 billion at the end of the month. As a result of transactions, residential deposits with the Bank of Lithuania grew by LTL1.8 billion over the month to form LTL 5.6 billion at the end of the month. The increase resulted from the placement of EUR 600.0 million Eurobond issue by the government. As a result of transactions, deposits of other MFIs went up by LTL 301.0 million to make up LTL 2.6 billion at the end of the month.
Over the month, capital and reserves hiked by LTL 21.1 million as a result of transactions to form LTL 1.0 billion at the end of November.
Since deposits of non-resident non-MFIs (non-banks) with the Bank of Lithuania as a result of transactions decreased by LTL 76.8 million and deposits of MFIs (banks) remained unchanged in November, external liabilities of the Bank of Lithuania went down to equal to LTL 61.7 million at the end of the month.
