Lithuania’s financial accounts for Q4 2016
Financial accounts data for Q4 2016 published today show that the annual growth rate of household debt in Q4 2016 was 7.1 per cent (compared to 6.1% for Q4 2015). At the end of the quarter, the debt totalled EUR 8.8 billion, thus reaching the debt level observed in 2009. Households have been reversing from saving to borrowing, and the debt growth rate exceed that of deposits.
