Tomorrow, on 5 June, at 10 a.m., visitors of public libraries interested in the adoption of the euro, during a broadcast on the Internet, will be able to ask the Chairman of the Board of the Bank of Lithuania Vitas Vasiliauskas questions about the single currency of the European Union.

The Chairman of the Board of the Bank of Lithuania will first introduce the visitors to the 10 most important things that the residents of the country should know in preparations for the adoption of the euro: who and how will exchange litas into euro, how the Lithuanian euros will look like, whether the euro adoption will have any impact on savings.

The direct broadcast in the public libraries of the country is organised by the Bank of Lithuania jointly with the Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania. About 1,300 public libraries have the possibility to watch the direct broadcast on the Internet. Having implemented the international project "Libraries for progress" they were provided with modern technical equipment needed for public access to the Internet and providing other electronic services.

A brief quiz will take place at the end of the broadcast. Visitors of libraries who have been right and fastest in answering V. Vasiliauskas' questions will be able to win souvenirs with euro symbols.
