Review of the Balance of Payments services exports and imports for Q4 2018
(Joint release by the Bank of Lithuania and Statistics Lithuania)
Today the Bank of Lithuania and Statistics Lithuania published data on exports and imports of services for Q4 2018, broken down by country and type of service. It shows that in Q4 2018 exports of services amounted to €2.6 billion, a year-on-year increase of 17.8%, while imports of services stood at €1.6 billion, an increase of 9.7% compared to Q4 2017. On a year-on-year basis, the highest increase was recorded in exports of technical maintenance and repair services (52.4%) and imports of research and technological development services (30.9%).
It should be noted that, when calculating the services data for Q4 2018, the data for Q1–Q3 2018 was revised.
