The publication publishes information to help entrepreneurs successfully meet the new currency.

  • It provides information on how to adapt information systems and cash registers;
  • reminds of the obligation for traders and service providers from 22 August 2014 to quote prices both in litas and euro;
  • presents the Memorandum of Good Practices During the Adoption of the Euro. Entrepreneurs who have signed it can mark their trading and service locations with a special logo, attractive to buyers, which was devised to dispel doubts as to the fairness of price conversion from litas to euro;
  • informs about the necessity for traders to ensure consumer protection;
  • describes the future changes in tax reports and state social security contribution reports, and how foreign exchange rates will be published;
  • offers advice on early acquisition of enough euro cash for change during the adoption of the euro;
  • provides information on euro banknotes and coins, the key security features of banknotes, and equipment for checking. This knowledge will be necessary in order to avoid possible traps of money launderers;
  • informs about the necessity to change the articles of association of private limited liability companies (UAB) and companies with share capital (AB), and how to do so.
