Direct Investment In Q4 2018

(Joint Press Release by the Bank of Lithuania and Statistics Lithuania). Please note that, in calculating direct investment for Q4 2018, the direct investment data for Q1–Q3 2018 was revised.

According to the latest data release, the flow of foreign direct investment (FDI) in Lithuania amounted to €142.4 million in Q4 2018. In 2018, the FDI flow in Lithuania amounted to €766.8 million, a year-on-year increase of 32.5%.

FDI income from non-resident investment in Lithuania amounted to €261.6 million in Q4 2018. The largest share of non-resident income consisted of reinvested earnings and dividends. In 2018, the reinvestment flow increased by 19.6% and amounted to €978.9 million.

Cumulative FDI in Lithuania rose by 4.6% over the year and amounted to €15.5 billion, as at 31 December 2018.
