Balance of Payments of the Republic of Lithuania, February 2018

Today, the Bank of Lithuania published the balance of payments data for February 2018, which shows that the deficit on the current account balance of €16.1 million resulted from the negative balances of foreign trade and primary income that were not offset by the surpluses on the balances of services and secondary income. In February, the decline in the import of goods outpaced that in the export of goods month on month (3.1% and 2.2% respectively). The surplus on the secondary income balance decreased by 29.9% over the month.
