Balance of Payments of the Republic of Lithuania, June 2017
Today, the Bank of Lithuania published the balance of payments data for June 2017, which shows that the the build-up of the surplus on the current account balance of EUR 148 million was due to the balances of services and secondary income. Due to stronger growth in the exports of services the surplus on the balance of services increased by 15 per cent. According to preliminary estimates, the current account balance deficit amounted to EUR 273.3 million (–1.4% of GDP) in January–June 2017, almost halving on account of an increase in the exports of goods and services year on year.
