Balance of Payments of the Republic of Lithuania, July 2017
Today, the Bank of Lithuania published the balance of payments data for July 2017, which shows that the build-up of the EUR 65.5 million deficit on the current account balance was driven by the deficit balances of goods and primary income, which were not offset by the surplus balances of services and secondary income. Due to an exceptionally large decrease in export of goods, trade balance deficit expanded considerably. Month on month, the negative primary income balance increased by 9.8 per cent.
