Balance of Payments of the Republic of Lithuania January 2019
Today, the Bank of Lithuania published the balance of payments data for January 2019, which shows that the €54.9 million surplus on the current account balance resulted from the decreasing surplus balances of services and secondary income that were not offset by the negative balances of foreign trade and primary income. The decline in imports of goods outpaced that of exports (4.8% and 1.4% respectively) and resulted in a decrease in trade balance deficit (2.1 times).
