Call for tender for the purchase of communication services for organising euro information campaign
The call for tender for an open project for the development and implementation of Lithuania’s Public Information and Communication Strategy for the Adoption of the Euro was announced on 1 February. The Bank of Lithuania, which is responsible for the organisation of the tender, will be accepting proposals from interested companies concerning the provision of public relations, advertising, public opinion survey and other services necessary for the euro information campaign until 24 March.
Tender participants will have to develop a public information campaign strategic communication plan and implement the measures contained in it, taking into account the current situation, the latest public opinion survey data, the information and goals contained in the National Changeover Plan and in Lithuania’s Public Information and Communication Strategy for the Adoption of the Euro, including provision of information to the public about the changeover; seeking public support for the introduction of the euro and favourable views on the future currency of Lithuania, the euro; helping the public prepare for the introduction of the euro; contributing to the process of a smooth introduction of the euro in Lithuania.
Under the terms of the tender, three best participants will be awarded three prizes. The first prize amounts to LTL 12,000, the second is LTL 10,000 and the third is LTL 8,000. The winner of the tender will be invited to take part in the further public procurement procedures on the purchase of services necessary for the implementation of the project.
The projects, to be submitted under conditions of anonymity, will be assessed by the tender commission formed by the Chairman of the Board of the Bank of Lithuania.
The full tender announcement text was published in the annex “Notices” of the official gazette Valstybes zinios (No. 8) and on the website of the Public Procurement Office. The Bank of Lithuania will provide the terms of the tender to the participants upon their written request.
