Bank of Lithuania Governor Reinoldijus Sarkinas presented the plans for the adoption of the euro
The Bank of Lithuania has drafted the Law on the Adoption of the Euro in Lithuania, which will be presented to the concerned institutions and organisations for their consideration. This was announced by Reinoldijus Sarkinas, Chairman of the Board of the Bank of Lithuania, at the meeting with the public in Siauliai, the fourth largest city in Lithuania, while introducing the plan of adopting the euro in Lithuania.
The event entitled “Fear of the Euro: Is It Reasonable?” at the Siauliai Community Home was attended by over a hundred and fifty people who raised a number of questions about the future adoption of the euro.
