In June 2007, external assets of the Bank of Lithuania increased by LTL 1.0 billion as a result of transactions to form LTL 15.6 billion at the end of the month.
In June, currency in circulation went up by LTL 241.8 million to LTL 8.6 billion at the end of the month. As a result of transactions, residential deposits with the Bank of Lithuania climbed by LTL 218.8 million over the month to form LTL 5.1 billion at the end of the month. As a result of transactions, deposits of other MFIs grew by LTL 109.8 million to reach LTL 2.8 billion at the end of June. At the same time, deposits of the central government went up, as a result of transactions, by LTL 109.2 million to LTL 2.3 billion at the end of the month.
In June, deposits of non-resident MFIs (banks), as a result of transactions, increased by LTL 934.9 million while deposits of non-MFIs (non-banks) contracted by LTL 186.3 million. Consequently, external liabilities of the Bank of Lithuania went up by LTL 748.6 million in May to reach LTL 1.2 billion at the end of the month.
