At the end of November 2003 reserve money made up LTL 5.9 billion.Over one month it went up by LTL 50.0 million, of which currency in circulation, required reserves in foreign currencies and demand deposits of non-banking financial institutions increased respectively by LTL 99.6 million, LTL 13.2 million and LTL 0.3 million, while commercial bank balances on correspondent accounts decreased by LTL 63.5 million.Foreign assets and central government deposits went down by LTL 310.6 million and LTL 158.4 million, respectively.

Foreign assets were pushed down by LTL 195.7 million owing to repurchase transactions with non-residents and by LTL 121.9 million due to operations with central government institutions.
