Over one month reserve money increased by LTL 16.5 million, of which currency in circulation, demand deposits of non-banking financial institutions and commercial bank required reserves in foreign currencies increased by LTL 107.8 million, LTL 23.2 million and LTL 11.0 million, respectively, while commercial bank balances on correspondent accounts decreased by LTL 126.8 million.

Reserve money was increased by LTL 227.3 million owing to operations with central government institutions while operations with non-residents reduced reserve money by LTL 31.0 million, as did the net sale of foreign exchange by the Bank of Lithuania to commercial banks of LTL 181.3 million.

Foreign assets and central government deposits grew by LTL 195.6 million and LTL 289.3 million, respectively, in February.
