Balance of Payments of the Republic of Lithuania June 2018
Today, the Bank of Lithuania published the balance of payments data for June 2018, which shows that the €86.5 million surplus on the current account balance resulted from the positive balances of services and secondary income that were not offset by the negative balances of foreign trade and primary income. The balance of services narrowed (13.2%) yet remained in surplus, at €269.1 million. An increase in the exports of goods (5.7%) and a decrease in their imports (3.2%) resulted in the deficit on the trade balance narrowing to €134.2 million.
