Lietuvos bankas has granted an authorisation of a crypto-asset service provider to Micar assets UAB. The Lithuanian privately owned company intends to provide crypto-asset services both to private and business clients, including non-professional and professional investors, in our country.

The authorisation enables Micar assets UAB to provide custody and administration of its clients’ crypto-assets, exchange those crypto-assets into money or other crypto-assets, process crypto-asset related orders and offer other services. One of its shareholders is a finance brokerage firm Myriad capital FMĮ UAB, which is about to mark its tenth anniversary and is offering its clients the possibility to invest in more than 90 markets all over the world.

Micar assets UAB is the fourth company that has been granted a crypto-asset service provider authorisation by Lietuvos bankas in accordance with the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA). Such authorisations have previously also been granted to Robinhood Europe, UAB, UAB „Decentralized“ (Coingate) and Nuvei Liquidity UAB

According to the data of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), Lithuania currently ranks second in the Nordic-Baltic region in terms of the number of issued crypto-asset service provider authorisations.
